Built inside a working music studio, for music studios.
The idea
One customer, one account, one place to look.
A family taking lessons who also brings a guitar in for a fret dress is the same account. Their repair history, lesson attendance, invoices, credits and notes all hang off it.
Most studios end up with a scheduler that knows about lessons, a spreadsheet that knows about money, and a notebook by the bench that knows about repairs. Nothing knows about the family.
B♭ Studio starts from the other end. There is one billing account per family, and every line of business bills into it. What differs is the rhythm: lessons accrue and are invoiced monthly on terms, while a repair is invoiced and due the moment the instrument is collected — because you cannot hand back a guitar against an invoice that is not due for three weeks.
Both invoices still sit on the one account. That is what “one place” means in practice.

Each line of business adds only its own part. The shared core — accounts, catalogue, invoicing, credits, notes, audit — knows nothing about any of them, which is why a new one is an addition rather than a rewrite.

Today it shows a family who they are — not yet what they owe.

Money
A billing run you look at before it happens.
Preview the whole month — every account, every line, every proration, and every account it skipped with the reason why. Then commit it, or do not.
Tax is worked out per line and rounded per line, not on the subtotal — which is the difference between an invoice that reconciles and one that is a cent out every month.
Proration counts days inclusively, so a student who starts on the 12th is billed for the 12th. Credits and discounts go through an approval chain with real ceilings, and the person who asked for a credit is never the person who clears it.

It runs on a schedule you can see
Twelve jobs handle overdue invoices, reminders, late fees, expiring make-ups, statements and the monthly payout draft. Each one lists what it last did and what it will change, and each has a button to run it now.
The rules are settings, not code
Around fifty policies — cancellation windows, what counts as chargeable, when a late fee lands, how Auto-Pay is discounted. They are your terms and conditions written as rules the software actually enforces, and any account can override them.
One install, one studio, your name on it
Not a shared tenancy with your data next to someone else’s. Your logo, your colours, your currency and timezone, on your own install — set in Settings rather than requested as a customisation.
It is not generally available yet.
